We do not allow children to bring toys (unless otherwise stated as a reward), games or mobile phones with them to the academy.  Such items will be confiscated and returned at the end of the day.

None at all.  All places at the Academy will be free and available to the local community within an admission policy that mirrors the admissions arrangements for other local community schools.  Students will be accepted irrespective of ability or faith

Staff and students of all faiths are welcome to be part of each Oasis Academy and faith is not a factor in the admissions criteria for the school.  The academies are 'schools of religious character' in order to enable Oasis' ethos of inclusion, which is grounded on the Christian faith, to be prominent in the school's character.

Academies are publicly funded independent schools.  The majority of the funding comes direct from central government.  The  Education Funding Agency  (formerly the YPLA)  will fund the annual running costs of the academies via a grant each academic year.  The sponsor has responsibility for the day to day running of the academy.  Oasis academies are sponsored by Oasis Community Learning, an exempt charity.

Academies are state-funded independent schools and in many cases, join an academy network or family.  

If your child is too unwell to come into school you must notify the academy office as soon as you can or before 8.45am. Pupil absences are recorded and on return we expect a letter of explanation. 

You must contact the academy each day that your child is unwell. 

If you child becomes sick during the school day, they will be instructed to visit the school nurse who will assess the extent of the illness and call appropriate parents/carers. 

No jewellery should be worn apart from small stud-type earrings.  Small discrete watches may be worn.  Any religious jewellery should be worn beneath clothing.

We strongly believe in the importance of school uniform as we believe it helps create a strong sense of identity and unity.  As such it is compulsory that it is worn at all times of the school day.
